Registration: $100 per individual per category with minimum requirements of 2 workshops. Troup category is $40 per individual with requirement of 2 workshops per troupe.

Open to dancers 15 years or older with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Oriental Dance.

Competition Format:
• Two rounds
• Round 1: Dancer’s choice (selected from the official song list below).
• Top 3 finalists advance to the final round.
• Final Round: Finalists draw again by raffle to determine their final piece. -
Music & Orchestra: Live performance with Sehir Al Sharq Orchestra, Cairo Band by Mohamed Reda, singer Ghanem, keyboard Ashraf, tabla Ahmed Henkesh, tabla Alex, percussion Amina.
(Cairo Band) will perform from a curated selection of 10 classic Oriental songs. -
Preparation: Competitors are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the full list of songs in advance.

Styles: Choose one of the following — Oriental Megeance, Classic, Shaabi, or Baladi. (These are not separate categories; all competitors will be judged within the same group.)

Time limit: Maximum 4 minutes.

Competition date: Saturday Oct 3rd.

Judging: Evaluation will be based on your interpretation of the chosen style compared to other competitors.
Folklore
TRACK MUSIC ONLY

Open to all ages with experience in Oriental Dance.

Music: Recorded track of your choice, following competition guidelines for timing and style.

Styles: Choose one of the following — Saidi, Milaya, Hagala, Bedouin, Ghawazee, Iraqi or Khaleegi. (These are not separate categories; all competitors will be judged within the same group.)
