Our Story

Magdi and Warda met at the famous Egyptian Bellydance Festival in Cairo, Ahlan Wa Sahlan in the Mena House in 2014. This was not the first festival for either one and they both looked forward to these large creative and international gatherings. For years they talked about one day giving the same extraordinary experience to dancers, musicians and fans outside of Egypt. After years of preparation and planning with artists and musicians they’ve known even before meeting, they are ready to bring Egypt to you! Magdi has been friends with many of these artists before they were internationally known and it holds a special place in his heart to be able to present them to you now .

Warda Shahrazad

International Award Winning Bellydance performer, teacher and judge. Warda has taught and performed in Japan, Mexico, Egypt and throughout the USA. She has been a Judge in Ukrainian, American, and Mexican international festivals, has traveled to Egypt many times over to research, train with musicians and oriental dancers and win awards: First place in professional category at Ahlan Wa Sahlan in Egypt (solo) two 3rd and one 2nd in troupe category at Ahlan Wa Sahlan Egypt as well as 2nd in troupe at Heart of America. Warda is Director of Award Winning Shahrazad Dance Company and Author of ‘The Origins and History of Bellydance’, along with Egyptian Professor Dr. Hassan Khalil. She is mentor and teacher of a number of prize winners. She offers workshops , performances and classes and professional Egyptian costumes with Magdi Sheko
